|David recently completed
his second novel, an historical fiction novel titled
Based on the actual events surrounding the June 1962 escape of three men from Alcatraz prison, it is the story of how a thirteen year-old boy helps two of the escapees make their way to freedom. I describe the book as having two parts; the action-adventure of the boy helping them elude the authorities (the How Did He Do This) but also the compelling story of the boy's upbringing by an independent single mother in an era of great social change (the Why Would He Do This).
